Brian Britton is a Fine Art Printmaker.  He attended a comprehensive school in Bristol, and after sixth form he went to college in Bath and university in Bristol before embarking on a career teaching Art and Design.  After 36 years in the classroom, Brian retired to focus on his own work, painting and drawing, creating bas-relief sculptures, and especially relief printmaking.  Brian has acquired two Victorian printing presses over the years which have enabled him to develop his work and continue giving lessons to adult artists who want to explore this versatile artform.  In recent years his inspiration for his prints has focused on the landscapes of Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, and the buildings, animal and plants that are to be found here.  He enjoys working in a variety of techniques, including wood cut, wood engraving, lino and vinyl cutting, collograph and monoprinting
