This specially commissioned 1000 piece jigsaw portrays The Homestead and the The Forest quilt. Designed by May Morris, this cot quilt was embroidered in silk by Jane Morris, in a careful transcription of her daughter’s drawing style. At its centre is a depiction of Kelmscott Manor with gardens, an orchard and animals. Along the border, quotations and proverbs echo May’s enduring socialist values.
