Christmas Card Lino Block Printing with Brian Britton 23rd November 10:00 to 16:00

Join us at Kelmscott Manor to learn the art of lino block printing with artist Brian Britton.  During the morning you will design your own Christmas card and be introduced to the art of carving your own lino block, creating you own unique design based on Christmas card images that you have brought from home or be inspired by the resources provided.  In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to use Kelmscott Manor's wonderful Victorian Albion printing press, and you will print several Christmas cards to take home with you.  Full tuition will be provided at each stage of the process.  The aim of the day is for you to experience a new art form or further develop your knowledge of printmaking in a relaxed atmosphere.

Light refreshments will be provided.  If you are planning to join us for Brian's workshop, please ring a packed lunch with you and remember to wear suitable clothes and/or bring an apron as we will be working with oil-based printing ink.
